Seeks Immediate Action on Public Hardships

Bandipora, Dec 17 (KNS) : A delegation of the Awami Ittehad Party (AIP), led by its General Secretary Prince Pervaiz, on Tuesday undertook an extensive visit across various locations of the Bandipora constituency to assess pressing public issues and interact with local residents.

The delegation included Abrar Rashid, son of Member of Parliament Baramulla Engineer Rashid; Farooq Ahmad, District President Bandipora; Mudasir Bashir, PRO to MP Engineer Rashid; Ashiq Hussain, District Youth President; Umer Gazali, District Secretary; besides all Block Presidents and Halqa Presidents of the party.

During a visit to Watpora Bala, the AIP leaders highlighted the urgent need for construction of a concrete culvert (bridge), terming it a vital infrastructure requirement for connecting several villages. They said the absence of the culvert has been causing severe inconvenience to residents and disrupting smooth public movement for years.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The delegation also visited District Hospital Bandipora, where they held a detailed meeting with the Medical Superintendent (MS) and the Block Medical Officer (BMO) Bandipora. The leaders raised serious concerns over the acute shortage of staff at the hospital, pointing out that no fresh postings have been made for a long time, resulting in significant hardship for patients and attendants.

Expressing concern over what they termed prolonged official neglect, the AIP delegation urged the concerned authorities to take immediate and effective steps to address the infrastructure gap and strengthen healthcare services in the larger interest of the people of Bandipora.(KNS)
