Budgam, Nov 5 (KNS) : Awami Ittehaad Party (AIP) on Wedesday organised a massive and spirited election rally across the Budgam Assembly Constituency, drawing an overwhelming response from the public and reaffirming the district’s growing support for AIP candidate Nazir Ahmad Khan.
According to a press release issued, The impressive rally, described as one of the largest political processions in recent years, was led by AIP Vice President Adv. G. N. Shaheen and District President Budgam Mehraj-ud-Din, accompanied by senior party campaigners Abrar Rashid, Prof. Naseer Ahmad Rather, Ajaz Ahmad Lone, Ajaz Yousuf, Shafeeq Ahmad, Mohammad Akbar, Er. Haji Muneer, Dr Abdullah, Abdul Rashid and Zameer Dakroo.
The rally passed through over 50 villages and localities, including Soibugh, Haran, Sebdan, Gulwanpora, Bemina, Khumani Chowk, Narkara, Bathar, Gulshanabad, Nadroo Gund, Peerbagh, Humhama, Sheikhpora, Ompora, Housing Colony, Ichgam, Razwan, Choon, Nagam, Ratipora, Dharmuna, Paymus, Jawalapora, Shalkot, Dadina, Sholipora, Nasrullahpora and several other areas.
At multiple stops, crowds raised pro–Er Rashid slogans and pledged full support to AIP.
Speaking to media persons, Adv. G. N. Shaheen said the unprecedented participation clearly shows that Budgam stands firmly with Nazir Ahmad Khan.

That is why Budgam trusts him.”
Shaheen launched a scathing attack on the PDP, accusing the party of decades of exploitation.“PDP brought the BJP to Kashmir by holding their hand and forming government with them. They are responsible for the political, emotional, and administrative destruction Kashmiris have suffered. Their crocodile tears will not fool the people anymore,” he said.
AIP candidate Nazir Ahmad Khan, while thanking the people for their extraordinary love and participation, said that Budgam has once again demonstrated its political maturity and commitment to genuine leadership. “I am humbled by the massive support shown today. This is not just a rally, it is a people’s movement for dignity, development, and justice.
I assure every household of Budgam that I will continue to be your voice, your representative and your worker. Together, we will transform Budgam into a model constituency where youth aspirations, public welfare and transparent governance take centre stage,” Nazir Khan said.(KNS)
