Handwara, Dec. 25 (KNS) : The Awami Itehad Party (AIP) on Sunday held its maiden workers meeting at the party founder and jailed Er Rashid's home here at Mawer.
The party meeting was attended by top brass workers of the AIP, and the founders of this party advocated for strengthening party roots at ground level.
The meeting was also attended by DDC Mawer, Khurshid Ahmed Dar, BDC Mawer Tahir Aftab, BDC Chairman Langate Showkat Pandith,BDC Chairman Tahir Ahmad Mir, Block President Mawer Nazir Ahmad Mir,Mohd Maqbool Najar and other party workers.
It is important to note here that this was the first meeting that was held at detained Er Rashid's home at Mawer Handwara post his detention.
The top brass on the occasion impressed upon the workers to get united to make party roots strong.
On this occasion, the party workers have demanded the immediate release of party founder Er Rashid, who has been lodged at Tihar Jail since August 5, 2019.
On this occasion, DDC Mawer Khurshid Ahmed Dar said he is always at the service of people.(KNS)
