AIP Delegation led by DDC Raja Waheed Visits LOC Poonch, Extends Support to Shelling Victims

Srinagar, May 18 (KNS) : A delegation of Awami Itihaad Party led by Senior AIP Leader and DDC Shopian Raja Waheed, visited various Line of Control (LOC) areas in District Poonch to meet families affected by the recent cross-border shelling. The delegation toured affected villages, offering condolences and solidarity to bereaved families who lost their loved ones during the tragic incidents.

The delegation included Abrar Rashid son of incarcerated MP Baramulla Er Rashid, Senior AIP leaders Ajaz Yousuf, and District Coordinator of Pulwama Ajaz Thakur besides Mirza Liyaqat. They personally interacted with the affected families, listening to their grievances and expressing empathy for their hardships.
Speaking on the occasion, Senior AIP Leader & DDC Raja Waheed reiterated AIP’s commitment to standing with the people during these challenging times and pledged continued support for the affected families.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe delegation emphasized the need for immediate government intervention to provide relief and rehabilitation to those who have suffered losses due to the cross-border shelling.

While speaking to media persons jailed MP Er Rashid’s son, Abrar Rashid said , "This area holds a special place in the heart of Er Rashid, who has always remained connected to the people of the Pir Panchal region. Whenever natural or man-made crises struck, Abu Ji (Er Rashid) was the first to reach out and offer assistance. His unwavering commitment to the region is deeply cherished by the local populace."(KNS)
