New Delhi, Feb 15 (KNS): A delegation of the All India Milli Ulema Board (AIMUB) called on Member of Parliament Chaudhary Mohammad Ramzan here on Sunday, appreciating his efforts in articulating the grievances of the community and the state in the higher echelons of governance.
The delegation was led by AIMUB president Mohammad Fatah Alam and national general secretary Qari Qamar. The meeting focused on a broad spectrum of issues confronting the Muslim community, with the leaders commending Mr. Ramzan for his parliamentary interventions, according to a communication received by the Kashmir News Service (KNS).
The discussions touched upon the socio-economic hurdles faced by the community. Specific mention was made of the need for enhanced government outreach and facilities during the forthcoming holy month of Ramzan to ease the lives of the faithful.

A significant portion of the deliberation was dedicated to the state of education within the community. The delegation voiced deep concern over the persistent backwardness and the high rate of illiteracy among a considerable section of the Muslim population. They stressed the imperative of bolstering educational opportunities and access as a foundational step toward progress.
The leaders underscored the critical need for targeted, comprehensive policies aimed at the socio-economic upliftment and empowerment of the community, seeking the MP's support in advancing these issues, the communication further reads. (KNS)
