New Delhi, Oct 3 (KNS): All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) has welcomed the Delhi Government’s decision to resolve the 18-month pending issue of cash assistance for Kashmiri migrants on the pattern of the J&K Government.
In a statement, AIKS President Ravinder Pandita thanked Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta and Cabinet Minister Ashish Sood for addressing the concerns of the displaced community in Delhi-NCR. He recalled submitting a detailed memorandum in July this year, highlighting issues related to income criteria, Aadhaar bifurcation, and release of withheld assistance.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The Delhi Cabinet’s decision to remove anomalies and grant amnesty has brought relief to nearly 1,800 migrant families in the region.
While expressing gratitude, Pandita urged the government to enhance the current monthly assistance of ?13,000 per family of four to at least ?30,000, citing rising living costs.(KNS)
