AIIMS Handwara made gold at SKIA International Karate Championship

Handwara November 06 (KNS): Mehvish Rashid, a 8th standard student of AIIMS Handwara has won gold medal at the International Karate Championship, organised by Shotokan Karate Do Indian Association (SKIA) held in Goa. 

“The school is delighted with her success and extends heartfelt congratulations to her,” the faculty of AIIMS school said.

As many as 6 students of AIMS Handwara participated in the championship. While Mehvish Rashid  have won gold medal and other students also made it to different ranks, thus brought laurels to her School. 

Mir Suliman founder of the AIIMS Handwara while welcoming the winners appreciated the role of school coaches in bringing glory for school in sports fields.

Suliman said that Mehvish represented school rather we have sent a continent of 06 karate kids to Gujrat where this international event is going on and every one of them have won medals. 

He also extended his gratitude to SKIA international Championship for providing opportunity to students to prove their mettle in the field of sports.(KNS)
