Ahsan Pardesi visits Khanmoh, addresses party workers, locals

Srinagar, Nov 12 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Provincial Vice President kashmir and Constituency In-charge Sonwar Ahsan Pardesi on Friday presided over a meeting of party's local unit and locals of Khanmoh.

Among others Block president Abdul Majeed Bhat, Sr Vice President Haji Ghulam Mohd Bhat, Youth vice president Central zone Fazil bhat, Pervez Warsi Youth VP Sgr, Block President Youth Nisar Ahmed were also present in the meeting.

Addressing the functionaries, Pardesi said that the Sonwar constituency has been the worst victim of administrative apathy. He said the constituency, besides being the gateway of Srinagar boats immense tourism and industrial potential but the successive governments post 2015 didn't do anything substantial to live upto the expectations of the people. "Nothing changed on ground in Sonwar post 2015. Despite having its representative in the government, the constituency continued to be the worst victim of government apathy and development deficit. The successive clamp down and Covid-19 induced lock downs have further compounded the woes of people in the constituency," he said

He futher rued that the unavailability of tertiary health care institutes, colleges, higher secondaries and dispensaries in the entire belt from Khonmoh to Khimber. He maintained that nothing substantial was done to improve and augment the existing tourism infrastructure in the constituency.

On the occasion, he exhorted the functionaries to reach out to every household and apprise them about the challenges which the NC is fighting.

He extolled the workers for rallying round the party flag during the most troubled times. (KNS)
