Srinagar, 04December(KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Leader Ahsan Pardesi on Friday paid rich tributes to BaBa e Qoum Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah on his 115th birth aniverssary.

He said in his legacy, life and struggle we find answers to many challenges that we are faced with today, including a challenge to our identity.
"Sher-e-Kashmir’s struggle and sacrifices for the dignity of this state and its people need to be emulated to put up a strong front against those who have harmed the identity on account of divisive politics and sinister bigoted ideology.Sher-e-Kashmir’s life was a valiant story of selfless leadership. He fought for the political rights and dignity of his people till his last breath. He chose prison over power for his people and it is this sense of sacrifice and courage that made him the leaders of masses. His call for inclusiveness and secularism needs to be heard in every town and village today because of its universal acceptance,"he said.
Recalling the immense contribution of Sheikh sahib, he said the revolutionary Land Reforms Act, Single Line Administration, free education, adult franchise and various other measures springing from his emancipatory brand of politics changed fate of people who were living a life of dump driven cattle.on this day I pay earnest tributes to him, may almighty elevate his station in Jannat. The best tribute to him would be to imbue our selves with his sense of sacrifice and heroism,"he said(KNS).
