Srinagar, Nov 19 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Provincial Vice President Kashmir and In-Charge Constituency Sonwar Ahsan Pardesi asked the party functionaries to work in tandem towards making party stronger at grassroots level in order to take on the imminent challenges to the people of J&K.
Pardesi said this while addressing a meeting of party's local unit functionaries of two blocks Harwan & Khanmouh in Sonwar constituency. Block Presidents, Halqa Presidents and delegates of Sonwar constituency attended the meeting at his residence at Shivpura.
He stressed on the party functionaries to raise issues of public importance in their respective blocks and Halqas. Deliberations were held on how to gear up for upcoming challenges and making party vibrant in entire constituency.
Stressing on incorporating sense of empathy in them, Pardesi asks functionaries to act and eyes and ears of the people and spare no effort to raise issues concerning them. "We are at the tipping point of history. While the party has taken upon itself to struggle for restoration of J&K's infringed democratic and constitutional rights, it hasn't closed its eyes to the day to day issues of people. We are fighting a multi front peaceful and constitutional battle but at the same time we cannot afford to turn blind to the problems faced by our people. People are the source of power and political class is bound to serve them with all their abilities. Politics, for us is a sacred medium to serve our people. Therefore it is imperative upon us, our delegates, Halqa and Block Presidents to maintain a touch with people in their respective localities, particularly during the ongoing winter months,when the issues faced by them are compounded on different accounts," he said.
"For NC to deepen its roots ever more than before, it is imperative for us to take our mothers and sisters along. "We cannot afford to shit our eyes and ears on them. Strengthening the party on ground holds the key towards making the party stronger to take on the challenges in the future," he added.
"As far as NC is concerned, it is set to fight a multi-front battle," Ahsan said, “On one front it has to strive for an atmosphere, where basic needs of our people including development and job creation are addressed. On the other front it has to keep up its peaceful and constitutional fight for the restoration of peoples abridged rights. Our party has long been associated with the real political aspirations of the people; people are looking towards us to protect JK’s cultural, social, political frontiers and cultural individuality as ever before. To achieve this goal, the party’s moves have to be marked by collectivism and better coordination at all levels,” he said.
Block president khanmouh Abdul Majeed Bhat, block president harwan Bashir Ahmad Mir, block VP haji Gh Mohd bhat, Ali Mohd mir, Gh Nabi bhat, YNC Central zone vice president fazil bhat, block Secy nayeem bhat, khursheed Ahmed, reyaz Ahmed, YNC block youth president Khanmouh Nisar Ahmed Bhat and other prominent attended and spoke on the occasion.
