Ahead of I-Day, Police test around dozen drones for aerial surveillance in Srinagar 

Srinagar, Aug 12, (KNS): Ahead of the Independence Day celebrations, the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday carried out a mock drill of drones in Srinagar for aerial surveillance to prevent any untoward incident 
   
A senior police official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the police tested around a dozen drones for aerial surveillance across Srinagar city ahead of the I-Day celebrations, 

He said that the security has also been beefed up across the city following a recent grenade attack at Hari Singh High Street locality of Srinagar and an arrest of a man along with two live hand grenades from the spot. 

The official said that several check-points have been established to keep an eye on the suspected persons and prevent any untoward incident of the I-Day. 

He also said that all security agencies have been put on high alert, while security arrangements have been tightened to keep a close vigil on suspicious elements. (KNS)
