Aga Syed Mujtaba Abbas meets Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in Bengaluru

 Bengaluru, Aug 15(KNS): Hujjat-ul-Islam Aga Syed Mujtaba Abbas, general secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, on Saturday met spiritual leader and humanitarian Sri Sri Ravi Shankar at the Art of Living Ashram here and discussed peace and interfaith harmony.

 
The meeting was held at the Kaveri Art of Living Ashram and focused on promoting peace, strengthening interfaith understanding and encouraging dialogue across religious and cultural communities.
 
During the meeting, Abbas highlighted the initiatives undertaken by the Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly its efforts towards interfaith dialogue and community harmony.

Ravi Shankar emphasised the importance of inner transformation, service and compassion in building lasting peace and called for greater interfaith cooperation.
 
Both leaders underlined the need for constructive dialogue, mutual respect and collaborative efforts to promote harmony and coexistence amid growing polarisation, the statement said.
 
The meeting reaffirmed their shared commitment to undertaking practical initiatives aimed at fostering understanding, reducing conflict and strengthening a culture of peace and coexistence.(KNS).
