Srinagar, Aug 25 (KNS) : General Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, Hujjat-ul-Islam Aga Syed Mujtaba Abbas Mosavi Al-Safavi, has expressed sincere gratitude to the Jammu & Kashmir Government and the Lieutenant Governor’s Administration for the comprehensive arrangements and cooperation extended during the observance of Muharram-ul-Haram and Safar across the Union Territory.
In a statement issued here, Aga Syed Mujtaba Abbas said that the peaceful and dignified conduct of the numerous Majalis, religious gatherings, processions and other programmes during the sacred months was facilitated by the coordinated efforts of the administration and various government departments.
He particularly appreciated the security arrangements made during the period, including effective deployment of personnel, crowd management, traffic regulation, route security and coordination at major religious gatherings and procession routes. He said the professionalism, alertness and preparedness demonstrated by the security personnel contributed significantly to ensuring a safe and peaceful environment for mourners and devotees.
Aga Syed Mujtaba Abbas also appreciated the efforts of the civil administration and concerned departments in making essential arrangements related to drinking water, sanitation and cleanliness, power supply, lighting, roads, healthcare and emergency services, public conveniences and other civic facilities required during large religious gatherings.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“While there were certain shortcomings at some locations, we appreciate the overall arrangements made by the Government and the concerned departments. We hope that the gaps observed during this year’s observances will be taken into consideration and appropriately addressed in the future. Overall, the Anjuman is satisfied with the arrangements and deeply appreciates the cooperation extended by the administration,” Aga Syed Mujtaba Abbas said.
He emphasised that continued coordination between the administration and religious organisations is essential for the smooth conduct of major religious occasions involving large public gatherings. He expressed hope that the experience gained during this year’s Muharram-ul-Haram and Safar observances would contribute towards further improving civic, logistical and administrative arrangements in the future.
Aga Syed Mujtaba Abbas expressed his gratitude to all officers, officials, security personnel and field staff who worked during the period, stating that their collective efforts helped ensure that the religious observances were conducted in a peaceful, orderly and dignified manner.(KNS)
