Srinagar, June 24 (KNS): Anjuman Shari Shian patron Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi has castigated Bahrain government for cancelling the citizenship of the country’s most senior Shia cleric, Sheikh Isa Qassim, a move according to Anjuman Shari Shian that could further complicate the social unrest in the Persian Gulf Arab state.
“Isa Ahmed Qassim, a disciple of democratic movement leader Sheikh Ali Sulman has been stripped of his Bahraini citizenship. It is an unfortunate decision which proves that Bahrain is acting on the behest of America and Israel,” he said in a statement issued to KNS.
“Sheikh Qassim actively sought the “creation of a democratic environment” through his struggle, but the pro-Israel government didn’t like his actions,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Condemning the murder of world famed Qawal Amjid Sabri, Aga Syed Hasan said that terrorists with narrow mindset are hell-bent to slay innocent people across Pakistan.
Taking serious note of state chief minister’s attack on clergy, Aga Syed Hasan said that the lady chief minister is shying away from express truth and ground reality. “It is absurd and disgusting to see police barring clerics and separatist leaders from performing Friday prayers. Youth are languishing in jails while the voices of people are being muzzled. In such circumstances clerics have to raise these issues as they have no other alternative.” (KNS)
