Budgam, Oct 12 (KNS): Senior separatist leader and president Anjuman Shari Shain Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi who was put under house arrest by authorities on Friday and barred from leading Friday congregational prayers has paid tributes to the PhD scholar-turned-militant Manan Wani and his aide, who were killed in a gunfight with the government forces at Shatgund village in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday.
Aga Syed Hasan in a statement issued to KNS said that Manan Wani’s sacrifice can never be forgotten. “He was a PhD scholar. His sacrifice proves that the highly educated youth of Jammu and Kashmir have decided to strive for their birth right,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Aga Hasan said that when young people of any nation decide to sacrifice their lives, oppressors have to accept defeat.
Terming the ongoing Urban Local Body elections as ‘sham and fraud’, Aga Hasan said that “these elections will serve no purpose when majority of the people are boycotting it.”
He said it is really shameful on part of government that despite using all its resources it failed to persuade people to vote and support the election process. (KNS)
