Srinagar, Jul 12 (KNS): Hurriyat G leader and president Anjuman Shari Shian Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi Monday paid rich tributes to the martyrs of July 13, 1931, urging the people to observe July 13, as day of reaffirmation of oath to take their mission to its logical end.
“This day has the significance of marking the beginning of the ongoing freedom struggle. On this day the Kashmiris for the first time raised their voice against the atrocities perpetrated by the Dogra rulers on them and 22 persons offered supreme sacrifices of their life. Aga Hasan said that the best way to pay tributes to the July 31, martyrs is that we should take their cherished mission to its logical end.” He emphasized the need for unity among pro-freedom parties to make India shun its obduracy.
“July 13, 1931, martyrs challenged the autocratic rule in Kashmir thereby laying the foundation of the freedom struggle,” he said.
“The martyrs have accomplished their job now it is our responsibility to take their mission it its logical end.” (KNS)
