‘These tactics cannot suppress people’s freedom struggle’

Srinagar, Aug 26 (KNS): President J&K Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian and senior Hurriyat leader Agha Syed Hassan Almosvi Alsafvi was detained by police while he was leading a march towards Eidgah Srinagar. The call for Eidgah Azadi March was forwarded by joint resistance leadership.
Pertinently, Aga Hasan has been under house arrest from past 49 days. Shortly, before his detention, Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi told the gathering that these tactics cannot suppress people’s freedom struggle. “The freedom movement of Jammu and Kashmir has been drawn from the blood of Kashmiris. The tricks of privilege could not disassociate the people of Kashmir from the mission of martyrs,” said Agha Hassan. He said the chant of anti-India slogans manifests the boredom towards India. He strongly condemned the use of force on peaceful protest marches across Kashmir.
Aga Syed Hasan termed the two-day visit of Indian home minister Rajnath Singh to Kashmir as a “futile” exercise.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that Singh had failed to address the Kashmir issue according to the real aspirations of the people.
“Singh also failed to give his comments on the state-sponsored atrocities being committed on hapless innocent people for the past more than one-and-a-half month,” he said. He said that the ongoing public movement has neither been started by any particular group or party nor is provoked by anyone. The people came out on the roads on their own, he said.
“Instead of addressing the genuine cause, the Government of India started a blame game and used inhumane methods to crush the people’s voice,” he said, asking the Government of India to fulfill its promises made to Kashmiris through the United Nations.
“By detaining people’s representatives and religious leaders, India can gain nothing. This exercise, too, will prove futile and harmful in the long run,” Aga Syed Hasan said. (KNS)
