After six months, Farooq Abdullah to chair PAGD meeting today

Srinagar, June 9 (KNS): People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) has scheduled a meeting today at former Chief Minister of erstwhile state Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti's Gupkar residence today.

 

Two top rung leaders of PDP and National Conference leaders confirmed to KNS that Farooq Abdullah will chair a a meeting of leaders of PAGD affiliated parties at Mehbooba Mufti's Gupkar residence at 5.00 pm today.

 

Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah, Justice Hasnain Masoodi, Muhammad Yousuf Taragami, Muzafar Shah, Javid Mustafa Mir will be part of the meeting.

 

However, sources said the meeting will discuss present political scenario, participation in Delimitation Commission and future of PAGD.

Sources informed KNS that it could be a warm up meeting of PAGD after six months to reach at consensus about some important issues.

 

Earlier they met on 24 December last year after the result of DDC elections.. PAGD leadership is being criticised for not taking any further steps regarding their demands and keeping everyone guessing about its future.

The political opponents of PAGD even publicly said that PAGD is destined to fail.
