Srinagar, Jan 06 (KNS): With the end in dry spell and fresh snowfall in Valley, Srinagarities Friday accused government of unleashing a reign of darkness with erratic electric supply across the summer capital taking toll.
Most of the areas including Habba Kadal, Fateh Kadal, Khanyar, Bemina, Batamaloo, Rajouri Kadal, Nowhatta and others complained of no electricity and frequent power cuts since Friday morning.
“We are facing tremendous hardships since this morning as authorities fail to provide adequate electricity in our areas,” inhabitants said.

The authorities must look into the sufferings of people and should provide adequate electricity to us,” they said.
Inhabitants later appealed Power Development Department (PDD) to look into the matter and redress their genuine grievances.
Meanwhile, a senior PDD official said that the lines have cut due to the tumbling of trees at several places.
He said that the department is working to restore power and it will take a few hours to put supplies back on track. (KNS)
