Srinagar, Aug 17 (KNS): The locals from Karnah area of Tangdar in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district are up in arms against the Irrigational and Flood Control (I&FC) department for failing to provide water supply to their paddy fields.
The locals according to the KNS correspondent said that following the flood like situation in the Karnah villages, they have quit apprehensions that their crops will get damaged as the authorities have so far failed to provide water supply to their paddy fields.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
They said that the department is not paying any heed towards the sufferings of people. “The crops are in full bloom but in case the department fails to provide water supply to our paddy fields on time then the crops will get damaged,” they added.
The locals also appealed the higher ups of the department to look into the matter and fulfil their demands at an earliest. (KNS)
