Srinagar, Mar 2 (KNS): After the return of the former finance minister and senior PDP leader Dr Haseeb Darbu from New Delhi, political activities across state’s political spectrum have started gaining momentum.
According to KNS correspondent, the national conference after years has held a party convention at South Kashmir’s Shopian area with Omar Abdullah marking his presence.
The PDP too seems to be jumping into the chorus and holding a party convention at Jammu on March 3 with Mehbooba Mufti scheduled to chair the meet. Sources divulged that the PDP chief has reached the winter capital wherein she, besides holding the party convention, shall hold one on one meetings with some party leaders and would discuss the present political situation of the state.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
On the other hand, the NC working president and former chief minister Omar Abdullah is holding a youth convention at the party headquarters here wherein he would address the party’s youth workers.
Sources informed further that the party convention at north Kashmir’s Kupwara has been scheduled for March 7.
Workers of both the PDP and NC have divulged that the political activities have gained momentum after the return of Dr Haseeb Drabu from New Delhi- hinting at the stalemate to continue in the state. The present chaotic situation in the state has given rise to the speculations of the fresh elections with political parties speeding up their activities all of a sudden. (KNS)
