Srinagar, Nov 19 (KNS): Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir’s (JeI) spokesperson and political head Advocate Zahid Ali’s father Haji Habib-ullah Lone passed away on Friday night 08:00 pm at his residence Nehama, Pulwama. He was 96.
Lone’s nimaz-e-jinazah was offered on Saturday morning 10:30 am in the premises of local educational institute in which people from all walks of life along with Jama’at central level functionaries, district heads & secretaries, and a large number of associates participated.
Prior to nimaz-e-jinazah, Amir Jama’at Khwaja Ghulam Muhammad Bhat, former Ameer Sheikh Ghulam Hassan, Assistant Secretary General Jama’at (2nd) Moulana Gazi Mueen-ul-Islam Nadvi and Peer Saif-ullah (Personal Secretary to Hurriyat Chairman Syed Ali Geelani) were the speakers who paid glowing tributes to the deceased and expresses sympathy with the bereaved family.
Amir Jama’at Ghulam Muhammad Bhat at the occasion paid rich tributes to the deceased and expressed sympathy on behalf of Jama’at with the family. He said, Haji Habib-ullah Lone sahib has served religious and social front since his childhood and he gave enough to his family in sort of educating them religiously. He praised the deceased character and said it is enough evidence of his love towards Islam that the deceased devoted his son (Advocate Zahid Ali) to Jama’at whose sole endeavor is to establish an Islamic state.
Pertinently, deceased’s son Advocate Zahid Ali was under police custody since August 30 and was lodged in sub-jail Kothibagh under concocted and flimsy charges.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelBut yesterday night when authorities heard the news about his father’s death, he was released later.
