Advisor to Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani and Lal Chowk MLA Ahsan Pardesi on Saturday laid the foundation stone for a road project worth Rs 2.77 crore at Padshai Bagh here, officials said.

The road, a long-pending demand of local residents, was in poor condition causing inconvenience to the public, they said.

Speaking on the occasion, Wani said the government was making steady progress under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. He added that MLAs across constituencies were working on the ground and genuine public demands were being addressed in a phased manner.

MLA Pardesi said he had personally visited the area a few months ago along with the Deputy Chief Minister, who holds the R&B portfolio, and had apprised him of the deteriorated condition of the road.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and the Advisor for their support in approving a fresh DPR and commencing work.
