Srinagar, Mar 22 (KNS): Ministry of Home Affairs, government of India on Tuesday accepted the resignation of Advisor to Jammu and Kashmir LG, Farooq Ahmad Khan after he submitted his resignation from the post.
In a letter, a copy of which lies with Kashmir News Service (KNS), by ministry of Home Affairs has informed that the resignation of Advisor to LG J&K, Farooq Ahmad Khan has been accepted.
“This is to inform that your resignation from the post of Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir has been accepted by the competent authority with immediate effect,” reads the letter.
Notably, on March 20 advisor to LG Jammu and Kashmir, Farooq Ahmad Khan tendered his resignation to Home Ministry and is likely to take up an important political role ahead of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. (KNS)
