Pratyush Rao, Senior Political Advisor in Foreign Policy of British High Commission and Asad Mirza, Press and Communication Advisor to British High Commission called upon Khalid Jehangir, state spokesman of Bhartiya Janta Party, at his residence today. The meeting lasted for more than an hour.
The trio discussed in detail the political and security situation prevailing in Jammu and Kashmir after the formation of BJP-PDP coalition government. Jehangir briefed the visitors about the functioning of BJP-PDP coalition government in the state and told them that that the government was doing well under the leadership of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. He said that Bhartiya Janta Party, being part of the government in the state, was in full compliance and coordination with PDP on all issues of governance and development for the state and added that the government was coming up to the expectations of the people of all the three regions - Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh – of the state.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Jehangir informed the advisors of British High Commission that the coalition government was carrying forward the vision and dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to see Jammu and Kashmir at zenith of peace and prosperity. He said that development was the mandate of the coalition government, and the state is seeing all round development.
“The coalition government is functioning as per the Agenda of Alliance and during past six months of the government a positive change on situation and developmental fronts is visible on ground, which is being appreciated by people belonging to all political and ideological shades,” Jehangir said.
The BJP state spokesman presented the on the spot assessment of the prevailing political and security situation in Jammu and Kashmir to the advisors in British High Commission. (KNS)
