Srinagar, Jan 16 (KNS): Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir (DHSK) achieved yet another feat when the Neuro-Surgical unit of JLNM Hospital Rainawari, headed by Dr Basharat Kanth, successfully performed an advanced cervical spine disc surgery.
This is for the first time that such surgery has been done outside a tertiary care hospital in any peripheral hospital.

The procedure of Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion(ACDF) was successfully done using PEEK CAGES.
The patient has responded to the treatment well and has significant improvement and will be discharged soon.
