Srinagar, July 25 (KNS): In wake of commencement of Holy Month of Muharram ul Haram Government needs to get well prepared in advance to provide all possible facilities during the Muharram Month.
Socio Political youth leader and Social Media Head JKPC has said that mourning of Imam Hussain (AS) and his family is not confined to ten days of Muharram only but it is being commemorated for two months continuously starting from 1st Muhrram ul Haram till end of Safar ul Muzaffar during which mourners hold processions and Majlises to pay homage and remember the supreme sacrifices of Imam Hussain (AS) and his family members in Kerbala.
He said that the blueprint of routes of processions and Imambargah's already lies with the government since decades but instead of making advance preparedness of facilities the administration always initiates late even after community urges and identifies these areas for necessary repairments and installations. In some cases Muharram work is also seen being implemented after the month of Muharram and Safar finishes.
Mudasir thanked DC srinagar Mr Aijaz Asad for his immediate response and personal visits to Shia areas in srinagar to assess the requirements inview of Muharram month.
He demanded from the LG administration for advance stocking of necessary ration, sugar , firewood, LPG, K-oil etc, black topping of routes from where processions will pass, early installation of Water tankers at certain locations where there is scarcity of drinking water, proper health facilities, traffic management, security facilities, street lighting and proper sanitation enroute to Muharram processions and Imam Bargahs / Masjids in Shia dominated areas where Majlises will be held.(KNS)
