ADMO Anantnag faces backlash over circular

Srinagar, June 03 (KNS): In this scenario when health and Medical education is strictly following the COVID protocol as advised by the WHO and National health authorities. The ADMO ISM Anantnag has issued an order to hold public gatherings for awareness of COVID-19. This has generated criticism from the ISM medical fraternity and general public who are strictly adhering to the social distancing norms and public at large and are terming it insane and thoughtless.
The social voices have raised concerns and apprehensions about this ill conceived idea and have warned that holding such camps will not spread awareness but will catalyse the spread of deadly corona virus in Anantnag
An ISM department employee while speaking to KNS said "We have already our colleagues like Dr Naveed shah and other members of our fraternity fighting this virus by quarantine and social isolation methods and issuing such orders by someone for Anantnag District shows the lack of vision and understanding of the COVID scenario". " Such official should be send to awareness camp to understand the situation through which the world and Kashmir is going", he added.
Riyaz Ahmad, a social activist while raising his eyebrows has said " I appeal to the higher authorities to steer this officer's mind through proper counselling". so that he should not put the lives of whole population and medical fraternity to risk, he added. (KNS)
