Srinagar, November 08 (KNS): Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, on Saturday said the district administration is fully prepared to deal with winter challenges and expects better assistance for the public compared to last year.
Speaking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Suse said a series of meetings had been held to ensure all necessary arrangements are in place. “Winter stocking in snow-bound areas of Kupwara is almost complete. Adequate buffer stock of transformers is available, and tendering for all roads has been completed,” he said.
He said that the Mechanical Department is ready for snow clearance operations and control rooms are being established across the district to respond to any emergencies.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“Meetings have been held with the Power Department to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during winter. A sufficient buffer stock of transformers has been arranged, and additional transformers are being procured under the CAPEX budget to tackle any crisis,” Suse said.
The Deputy Commissioner reaffirmed that the administration is fully geared up to handle winter-related challenges and is confident of providing better services to people than last year.(KNS)
