Anantnag, Mar 26 (KNS) ; In the wake of concerns over fuel availability, Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat, on Thursday assured the public that sufficient stocks of petrol, diesel, and domestic cooking gas are available across the district, warning of strict action against any violations.
The Deputy Commissioner, accompanied by senior district administration officials and members of the Petrol Pump Owners Association, addressed the media as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) to review the prevailing fuel situation and ensure uninterrupted supply.
During the briefing, Dr. Bhat directed all petrol pump owners to strictly adhere to the government guidelines, asserting that any deviation from the prescribed norms would invite strict action.

He urged the public not to resort to panic buying or hoarding, reiterating that the administration has ensured adequate stocks to meet the demand. He added that authorities are closely monitoring the situation to guarantee smooth and hassle-free availability of fuel for consumers.
Officials also appealed to the public to cooperate with petrol pump operators and maintain discipline while availing services. The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring transparency and uninterrupted access to essential commodities for all residents. (KNS)
