Srinagar, Feb 13 (KNS): A delegation of Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir led by its Political Bureau Head Advocate Zahid Ali today visited Kulgam and Islamabad and paid homage to those who achieved martyrdom in Frisal gunfight. Delegation visited the families of Mudasir Ahmad Tantray of Redwani Bala, Wakeel Ahmad Thokar of Harigam Kulgam, Farooq Ahmad Dar of Arra Mehmandpora Kulgam, Mohammad Younis Lone of Hawoora Mishipora, Ashiq Ahmad Reshi of Nagbal Kulgam and Mushtaq Ahmad Itoo of Hatigam Srigufwara and expressed sympathy and solidarity on behalf of Jama’at. At the occasion, delegation showered glowing tributes and deliberated upon the philosophy of Shahadat on account of Quran & Sunnah and throw light on the historical context of Kashmir.
‘Our youth render countless and precious sacrifice for the freedom of their nation and today we pledge we will safeguard these sacrifices in every respect’, delegation said while speaking different public meetings. Delegation said, until the New-Delhi address Kashmir issue as per the UNSC resolutions, peace in the regions is a distant dream. It is New-Delhi’s arrogant and mighty approach which is big halt in the resolution of long standing Kashmir dispute.
Paying homage to martyrs delegation said sacrifices rendered by our educated youth are an asset of freedom struggle which needs to be safeguarded.
They denounced brute force unleashed by government forces on unarmed civilians at Frisal yesterday who were protesting against the civilian killings and constant human rights violations.
‘International human rights groups, UN and OIC are here appealed to take strong cognizance of rights violations perpetrated by government forces upon civilians in Kashmir and take effective measures for the safety of Kashmiris with no delay, delegation said. (KNS)
