Srinagar, Mar 16 (KNS): Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Fazlul Haseeb Wednesday imposed a fine of Rs. 54500/- on various Food Business Operators for manufacturing and selling sub-standard food articles.

 

In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a spokesperson said that those fined include Edible Oil manufacturing company namely M/S Shree GRG Oil Mill, from Shri Ganganagar, Rajasthan having brand Name “Ulfat Mustard Oil” on whom Rs. 40,000/- has been imposed.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel 

 

The statement reads that these complaints were filed by Food Safety Officers of District Srinagar after obtaining prosecuting Authority from Assistant Commissioner Food Safety. 

 

“Moreover, 22 complaints against various Food Business Operators who do not adhere to the requirements of Food Safety and Standards Act were prepared for presentation before competent court. These include 4 butchers and 4 milk manufacturing units,” it reads. (KNS)
