Srinagar, Dec 3 (KNS): Society for Human Welfare & Education (Abhinanda Home), a school for deaf, dumb and blind children Thursday celebrated International day for Disabled.
On the occasion a cultural program was held at the school in which differently-abled children performed different cultural activities and enthralled the audiences.
Chairman of the Society Dr Rouf Mohi-ud-din Malik gave away prizes to three blind students and 2 deaf and dumb children who passed class 8th and 9th standards with flying colours.
He also gave a brief introduction about the program and the schemes launched by the state and centre for the benefit of the differently-abled children.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe also discussed the problem faced by the differently-abled children.
During the program, Principal Shamima Noor distributed warm clothes to the deaf and dumb children.
Speakers gave details of the schemes available with the Government for these children.
The function was attended by a good number of parents of these children. On this occasion the staff members of the school was also present. (KNS)
