Expressing her strong reaction and condemning the act of burning of a flag, having Kalima Tayyiba written on it, in Rajouri, Dukhtaran-e-Millat president Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi has appealed the people of valley to stage protests after Friday prayers.
In a statement issued to KNS, chairman of Dukhtaran-e-Millat said the communal forces like VHP and RSS have got a free hand to provoke Muslims by playing with their sentiments. She said that the already expressed apprehension is becoming clear that Muslims in Jammu division are being provoked with the ill intention of repeating the past and massacring them. She however repeated that Muslims of Jammu are not alone but the Muslims of the valley are on their back and will not be the silent spectators of the harassment of Jammu Muslims.
“Kalima Tayyiba is the basis of Islam and every Muslim is ready to die for its honour. How can we tolerate any body showing disrespect towards the most sacred Kalima or any other thing related to Islam,” Andrabi said in the statement. She congratulated the Rajouri Muslims for strongly protesting against the condemnable act of Hindutwa forces. She said that despite the goons being patronized by those who are at the helm Rajouri Muslims have shown courage and made it clear that a Muslim can sacrifice anything for the sake of Islam. “I appeal the people in valley to stage protest demonstrations after Friday prayers to show solidarity with Rajouri Muslims and to make it clear that we are pained and cannot see our religious sentiments hurt silently”.
While rejecting the weak argument, that those who burnt the flag didn’t know what was written on the flag, Andrabi said that the world is not that naïve to believe these illogical stories. She said that the fact of the matter is that ever since BJP took to the reins of the state Hindutwa forces have started taking the Jammu region as a conquered area where they feel free to do anything they want. She said that the Muslim population of whole area is being subjected to cruelty and harassment and the recent incident is in continuation of a well thought conspiracy.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Lamenting PDP Dukhtaran-e-Millat president said that it has given a free hand to the communal forces in Jammu to harass the Muslims and the situation in the area is such that the Muslims are pushed to the wall. “Ever since the present puppet government came into being it has become a routine to do mischief with the Muslims in one area or the other” she said and added that Kishtwar Muslims were not even allowed to celebrate Eid as many youth ,even some children, were arrested and subjected to torture in custody on the day of Eid itself.
”Muslim population is being thrown out of their homes, their land is being forcefully captured and temples built, graveyards are insulted and feelings of Muslims hurt and now even the Kalima Tayiba is desecrated and there is nobody to stop all this. In fact this all is being patronized and encouraged by the so called govt.’ she said. Andrabi further said, “We have time and again said that this all is being done at the behest of RSS and the local stooges are helping make the dangerous designs take a practical shape”. Dukhtaran-e-Millat president however cautioned those thinking of making Muslims flee from Jammu or massacring them and said, “This is not 1947 when Jammu Muslims were massacred and made to run for their lives leaving all they owned behind. Nobody will be allowed to even touch the Muslims in Jammu as the whole majority community stands on their back”. Andrabi said that the Muslim majority of other parts of the state cannot remain silent over what is being done to their Jammu brethren.
Assuring Jammu Muslims of all the support the statement reads, “We assure Jammu Muslims to be with them always but they too need to show some bravery and stand against the atrocities they are facing, they need to show a tough resistance while protecting their religious identity, political and social interests.” Emphasizing on Muslims to remain united she said “united, we have a capacity to make any power, including VHP, RSS and all its allies, lick the dust.”
