Srinagar, October 20 (KNS): While hailing the South Kashmir for its continued protest against the martyrdom of Zahid Ahmad, Dukhtaran-e-Millat president Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi has regretted the regionalization of the movement. She said that it was sad that the other parts of the valley didn’t share the grief of south Kashmir the way they were expected to.
In a statement, Andrabi condemned the high handedness of police and said that all those who visited Zahid’s home were manhandelled by the occupational forces including the police. She said that many mourners were ruthlessly beaten despite the fact they were peacefully heading towards the house of the martyr. “Occupational forces have crossed limits, the way people were beaten for no reason should be condemned in strongest possible words” she said and added that the occupational forces and their local agents were not even allowing people to mourn the killings of their nears and dears.
Andrabi payed tributes to Zahid and hailed the whole south Kashmir for showing a strong protest. She said that whole south Kashmir is not only observing a complete strike but is also protesting on roads, which is encouraging. However she regretted the regionalization of the movement. “How painful it is to notice that our movement is getting regionalized, today when south Kashmir is on protest in a spectacular style, and a number of youth have been injured and arrested by the occupational forces, rest of the Kashmir is busy with the daily chorus which is of course discouraging” she said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi further said that Jammu Kashmir was under double slavery and the enemy was not differentiating between the state subject Muslims on the basis of their districts and areas. “After PDP facilitated the entry of Hindutuva forces into the state we are, alongside India, slaves of Dogra’s too who take whole state as a conquered area” she said and added “our enemy, while inflicting injuries, doesn’t see from which district or area of Jammu Kashmir we belong, instead they mistreat and kill us as Kashmiri Muslims and unfortunate is the fact that we are ourselves divided”. She further said that if Kashmiri’s continue to be a divided house the enemy will be encouraged to further destroy the oppressed nation. She appealed “let’s understand that we are a single soul, as was described by holy prophet (SAW), our joy and sorrow should be one, then only can we fail the enemy and protect ourselves”. Explaining further she said “Zahid was not martyrd because he belonged to Batengoo, in fact the murderers didn’t even know where from the victims belonged, what all they knew was that they are attacking Kashmiri Muslims but alas we divide ourselves on the basis of our districts”.
