Aasiya Andrabi declares Yaqoob Memon as ‘martyr’

‘Was he only criminal left in India to be hanged?’

Sympathizing with the Memon family in particular and the Indian Muslims in general Dukhtaran e Millat president Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi on Thursday condemned what she termed the communal mindset of which Memon is the fresh victim.
According to the statement issued to KNS, she prayed for Memon to get a highest place is heaven and said that the incident is enough to open the eyes of those Indian Muslim leaders who call India a secular and unbiased country and claim Muslims to be enjoying equal rights.
Aasiya alleged that the biggest sin of Yaqoob Memon, in the eyes of Indian majority and its government, was that he was a Muslim. “Despite there being a number of technical issues Memon was sent to gallows in such haste that as if he was the last criminal left in India. Indian jails are filled with criminals and even those who killed Indian prime minister have since been awarded a capital punishment but that is not being implemented on one or the other week pretext but on the other hand Yaqoob Memon was hanged despite many voices being raised even within India,” Asiya Andrabi said.
The DeM chief said that it has become even clearer that India is a worst communal state where the minorities, especially the Muslims, find no law or rule on their side.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“The hanging of Memon has reminded us the pain of shaheed Afzal Gooru who too was illegally hanged for being a Muslim to satisfy the collective conscience of Hindu majority of India,” she said and added that same as in Afzal Guru’s case Memon’s case had some loopholes in his favor but the fate of both was same for sharing the faith.
She said that India has not actually hanged Memon but the justice itself and nobody in the so called civilized world should subscribe to the India’s bogus claims of being the world’s biggest democracy.
Expressing sympathy with the Memon family she said, “I share their pain as a Muslim and I think this is an hour of grief not only for Memon family only but for whole Ummah in general and Indian Muslims in particular,” Aasiyeh Andrabi said and observed that the two nation theory, that divided India, is time and again proved correct.
She said that Muslim leaders and self proclaimed scholars should bow their heads in shame and see how false the claims, of Indian Muslims being free and enjoying equal rights, are.
