AAROHAN 2026 Day 2: Young minds dazzle at SKICC Srinagar

 Srinagar, May 12 (KNS): The second day of AAROHAN 2026 – National Youth Festival & Viksit J&K Young Leaders Dialogue, organised by the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) J&K, unfolded at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) here, transforming the venue into a powerhouse of ideas, innovation, and cultural vibrancy.

 
With a clear focus on nurturing young leadership under the Viksit Bharat@2047 vision, the event brought together youth delegates from across the country. The day witnessed impactful PowerPoint presentations on themes ranging from preserving Kashmir’s cultural heritage to border youth aspirations.
 
Jaiveer Singh from J&K presented on “Preserving J&K’s Cultural Heritage,” while Ishant from Maharashtra highlighted the Himalayan Economy. Madhav Gupta from J&K spoke on “Border Youth,” drawing attention to the unique challenges faced by youngsters in frontier areas.
 
An engaging open interaction with RJ Nasir infused energy into the gathering. Manish Kashyp from Chhattisgarh addressed the growing concern of AI Deepfake Technology, followed by Sweta Shrivas from Chhattisgarh presenting “Startup Swaraj” to promote youth entrepreneurship.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelIvan Nelson (Meghalaya) and Muskan Sahu (Chhattisgarh) shared insights on Entrepreneurship & Skill Development, while Krishna Reddy from Chhattisgarh delivered a compelling presentation on “Digital India & AI.”
 
The Hackathon segment saw participants Rayees Ahmad and Shalinder Kumar introducing innovative prototypes. In a significant highlight, a mobile app designed as a digital de-addiction tool by a young inventor drew huge applause, underscoring technology’s role in mental health and lifestyle management.
 
The cultural segment showcased India’s diversity with mesmerising performances by contingents from Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra. A spoken word performance by Heena Alam from Ghaziabad left the audience applauding. Special solo folk performances by Rajput Janaksinh Vikrambhai (Gujarat) and Mohit Mehta (Rajasthan) added folk charm, while Government College of Physical Education (GCOPE), Ganderbal, delivered an energetic dance performance.
 
The programme concluded with souvenir distribution, group photographs, and a formal vote of thanks, reinforcing DYSS J&K’s commitment to shaping a vibrant, skilled, and culturally rooted young generation. (KNS)
