Chugh seeks Governor's intervention

Chandigarh, March 31 (KNS):  BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today demanded strict penal action against the AAP minister who has been putting up posters in Jalandhar along with other AAP MLAs.

Chugh said it was a flagrant violation of the election code as the Election Commission has already declared the by-election date for the Jalandhar Lok Sabha constituency. Moreover, he said, the posters do not meet the required essential information as to who is the printer of the posters and how many copies of it had been published and circulated in public.

"The AAP ministers are indulging in gross violation of law in many ways", he said and suggested that the Punjab Governor take note of the"illegal" activities of the cabinet minister and sack him outrightly from the cabinet.

Chugh said he would be soon writing a letter to the Punjab Governor seeking action against the"activities of the AAP minister.(KNS)
