AAP govt. complete disaster for Punjab, People's mandate cheated : Chugh

Chandigarh, September 16 (KNS): BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh said here today that the AAP government's six months in power have been a complete disaster for Punjab in which it has cheated the public mandate flagrantly.

In a statement Chugh said the AAP government has not only failed to deliver on all fronts but its governance has also become a national threat in the border state.

"None of the promises made in the election manifesto has been fulfilled even as people are feeling so deceived and let down", he said.

Both the mining and liquor policies have exposed the Bhagwant Mann government how corrupt it has been in the six months. As against dismantling liquor and mining mafias the AAP government has in fact has given more strength to the mafias which has been underlined in the judgements delivered by the Honourably High Court, particularly in the incidents of mining along the Indo-Pak border.

The economy of the state has gone from bad to worse as the employees are not getting their salaries on time and many welfare schemes are stuck due to funds shortage.

The drug mafias continue working as they used to in the past with no signs of Punjab ever becoming a drug-free state.

He said in a gross immoral act the AAP government is now trying to tout Operation Lotus to divert people's attention from the failure of the government to deliver.

Demanding a CBI inquiry into the alleged charge of AAP MLAs that the BJP tried to bribe them, Chugh said such cock and bull stories are indications that the Bhagwant Mann government has started resorting to cheap and deceptive politics within six months of coming to power.(KNS)
