Srinagar, Feb 08 (KNS): Paying glowing tributes to all the martyrs of Jammu Kashmir in general and Muhammad Afzal Guru and Muhammad Maqbool Bhat on their fourth and 33rd martyrdom anniversaries in particular, Jammu Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) spokesman Wednesday termed their sacrifices as priceless assets of the ongoing resistance struggle.
According to a statement issued to KNS, extending support to the shutdown and protest programmes called by the unified resistance leaders Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik on February 9 and 11, the martyrdom anniversaries of Guru and Bhat, the AAC spokesman said for the greater Kashmir cause, people needed to make all the programmes of the unified resistance leadership successful.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said it was only due to the sacrifices of tens and thousands of martyrs and the oppressed people that Kashmir had attracted attention at the international level which was helping build continuous pressure on New Delhi to resolve the vexed issue in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of people of Kashmir.
Stressing that Kashmir had become a nuclear flashpoint and only by resolving this issue would a way be paved toward peace and stability of South Asia, the spokesman urged Government of India to take such steps that would clear the decks for a dialogue process between New Delhi and people of Kashmir besides another main party to the dispute, Pakistan.
