AAC grieved over demise of Haji Bashir Ahmad Matt

Srinagar, April 30 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) has expressed deep grief over the demise of former president of Transport Association Kashmir and a great well-wisher of the organisation and the Mirwaiz Family Haji Bashir Ahmad Matt of Qamarwari, Srinagar.

The AAC in a statement to KNS said that Haji Bashir Sahib was a gentleman and a social worker who wished best for everybody.

As a president of transport association, late Bashir Sahib always endeavoured to resolve the issues faced by the transporters and as a well-wisher of the Awami Action Committee he used to play an active role in taking forward the programmes of the organisation.

On his demise, the AAC on his behalf and on behalf of its incarcerated chairman Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq expressed condolence with the bereaved family and prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed soul.

A delegation of the AAC comprising Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi, Farooq Ahmad Saudagar, Haji Muhammad Yousuf Bhat and Abdul Qayoom Wani visited the bereaved family and conveyed the condolence message of the organisation's leadership. They also offered Fateha prayers in favour of the deceased.

Meanwhile, the AAC expressed condolence with Mufti Adil Sahib of Lal Bazar over the demise of his mother and expressed condolence with the bereaved family.(KNS)
