AAC Expresses sorrow over loss of properties in fire incidents of srinagar

 

Srinagar Jan 18 (KNS): Jammu & Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of properties worth millions due to incidents of fire in various parts of Srinagar City.

In a statement issued to news agency-kashmir news service(KNS), the AAC expressed solidarity with the dozens of families in Old City’s Tarbal Nawakadal, Watalkadal and Safakadal areas whose houses were destroyed due to fire.

The AAC has appealed to affluent people of the areas especially the welfare organisations to provide all possible assistance to these affected families in this harsh winter and come forward in rehabilitating them.

Meanwhile, the AAC expressed deep sorrow  over the demise of the wife of organisation’s Hawal halqa president Muhammad Yaseen Rangrez who died in an unfortunate accident. It also expressed grief over the demise of the wife of former AAC leader Late Mujahid Muhammad Ismaeel of Nawab Bazar, and also the demise of organisation’s well-wisher Hafeezullah Rather. The AAC expressed condolence and solidarity with all the bereaved families and prayed for the heavenly abode of the departed souls.

A delegation of the AAC on behalf of its incarcerated chairman Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq visited the fire affected families as well as the bereaved famillies and expressed solidarity with them(KNS).
