Srinagar, Aug 17:(KNS)  Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) has expressed grief over the demise of the mother of senior journalist and a distinguished member of civil society Imdad Saqi.

In a statement, the AAC, on behalf of its leadership, especially its Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who continues to be under house arrest, expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathy with Imdad Saqi and other bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul .

Meanwhile, a high-level delegation of the AAC comprising Haji Ghulam Qadir Beigh, Mushtaq Ahmed Sofi, Muhammad Yusuf Bhat, and Moulana M S Rehman Shams visited Baghwanpura, Lalbazar and offered condolences to Imdad Saqi on behalf of Mirwaiz. The delegation also offered Fateha prayers for the departed soul.(KNS)
