Srinagar, Sep 20 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) Tuesday strongly condemned the extension in the illegal detention of its Chairman, Mirwaiz Dr.Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq by 14 more days.
In a statement issued to KNS, the spokesman said that it reflects the Autocratic mindset of the ruling regime.
Spokesman also condemned the continuous house arrest of veteran resistance leader, Syed Ali Geelani, shifting of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik from Humhama Police Station to GIC Humhama and arrests and house arrests of other resistance leaders.
Meanwhile, AAC spokesman termed the arrest of its General Secretary, Ghulam Nabi Zaki, other party leaders, activists and youth while participating in the ‘Baramulla March’ programme as frustration on part of the coalition government and condemned it strongly.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The spokesman also condemned the continuous house arrest of another party leader Shahid Ul Islam.
The spokesman said the AAC leaders and workers since 1947 have been continuously offering sacrifices for the right to self determination and arrests and detentions was nothing new thing to them and the veteran General secretary of the party had also since the beginning of his political career gone through arrests and detentions.(KNS)
