Says ‘Modi-Amit Shah Duo dead-set to polarize society on communal lines’

Srinagar, Jun 21 (KNS): Senior Congress leader and former union minister, Prof Saif-ud-din Thursday said that the secular forces in Jammu and Kashmir must unite at this critical juncture and defeat politics of hate-mongering and communal divide.
“I feel convinced that the people of Jammu and Kashmir State, inspite of political differences, understand the logic that has worked in Modi-Amit Shah Duo’s mind for moving out of the coalition in J&K State,” Soz said in a statement issued to KNS.
“It is the fright in their minds that the Congress Party is going to forge a successful union with the National Opposition and the General Election scheduled for 2019, is going to be extremely tough struggle for PM Modi,” he said.
“With Rahul Gandhi’s successful ‘unilateralism’ and his acceptability with the National Opposition, growing by the day, the BJP bosses are showing their nervousness. If PM Modi is focused on anything today, it is the impending General Elections!,” he added
Soz said that the most unfortunate element of the BJP’s nervousness happens to be the fact that it, (the BJP) doesn’t consider its hype on development workable any more. “It will be unfortunate situation for India, but the BJP’s nefarious design is to polarize the society on communal lines. It may also choose Jammu as its initial ‘battle ground’!,” he added.
“The secular forces in the J&K State must unite at this critical juncture and defeat politics of hate-mongering and communal divide. I think it doesn’t matter to two bosses of the BJP that communal polarization will harm India, enormously. I see the present situation as a ‘challenge’ as also an ‘opportunity’ for secular forces of Jammu and Kashmir State to unite decisively for a successful future of hope in the state,” he added.
