Sagar announces ₹1 Cr for upgrading Sports infrastructure in Shahr-e-Khaas

Srinagar, 16 Sep (KNS) : The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference General Secretary and MLA Khanyar, Ali Mohammad Sagar Tuesday announced ?1 crore allocation for the upgradation of sports facilities at Radapora and Gani Memorial Stadiums in Shahr-e-Khaas.

In a statement issued, He made this announcement while visiting the two stadiums. The initiative comes as part of a broader effort to provide better avenues for the youth and deter them from falling prey to social evils such as drug addiction.

Sagar also assured locals that he would work in close coordination with the J&K Sports Council to waive local usage rents, ensuring wider accessibility to the facilities.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“Sports are not just a recreational activity, they are a powerful tool to shape disciplined, healthy,and purpose-driven lives for our youth,” he said.

“We will continue to invest in sports infrastructure and ensure every youngster in Shahr-e-Khaas has the opportunity to dream big, stay away from drugs, and channel their energy positively," he said.

Locals welcomed the move and expressed hope that better infrastructure and rent-free access would encourage greater youth participation in sports and community-building activities.(KNS)
