Srinagar, Apr 5 (KNS): As many as 76 cataract surgeries were conducted at a free eye care camp organised at the Community Health Centre in Pattan area of Baramulla district, officials said on Sunday.
A specialised medical team deputed by the Directorate of Health Services carried out consultations, screenings and surgical procedures during the camp, which witnessed a large turnout of patients from Pattan and nearby areas.
Hundreds of patients visited the outpatient department (OPD), where they were examined by doctors and technical staff.

They said patients were provided medical advice and follow-up guidance as part of the initiative aimed at improving access to eye care services in the region.
Locals appreciated the efforts of the health department in organising the camp, while beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the authorities for facilitating treatment at their doorstep, they added.(KNS)
