Uri, January-26:(KNS)    The 73rd Republic Day was today celebrated with much zeal and zest at at Subdivision headquarters (Mini Stadium) Uri.
MC chairman Uri Bharat Kumar as a chief guest unfurled the national flag and takes salute. 

On the occasion, various contingents from civil and police administration, including, SDPO Uri Junaid Wali and Tehsildar Uri were also present at the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest MC Chairman Uri Bharat Kumar, in his address extended his Republic Day greetings to the people and paid rich tributes to leaders for drafting the Indian constitution.

He also appreciated the Covid Warriors for their selfless efforts during Pandemic, highlighted the development works carried out during the year.
Chairman also deliberated on the ongoing development scenario of the sub division and said that the area is touching new heights with active participation of people in government initiatives.

On the occasion, various artists and school children presented various colorful cultural programs including Rouf, patriotic songs, enthralling the audience, present there.

The prize distribution ceremony was also held wherein various officers and officials from different departments were awarded for their meritorious work.(KNS)
