Srinagar, April 01 (KNS): Authorities on Wednesday sealed six shops in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), in a bid to control over pricing of essential commodities in wake of Covid-19 outbreak across J&K, Tehsildar Beerwah Pir Zahid and SDPO Magam Showkat Ahmad inspected several areas of the district and took action as per law against those shopkeepers who were selling essential commodities on exorbitant rates.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“After received complaints from locals, a team led by Tehsildar Beerwah along with SDPO Magam visited several areas and took stock of the situation. At the occasion a legal action was taken against six shopkeepers who were indulged in over charging essential commodities”, officials said.
The team sealed the shops and impose fine besides registering case against them, officials added. (KNS)
