6 accused persons, involved in Badamwari stabbing incident, arrested: Police

 Srinagar, Mar 30 (KNS): Srinagar police on Wednesday said that it arrested six accused persons involved in a stabbing incident outside Badamwari two days ago in which two person were injured.

 
According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), on 28 March during evening hours, a scuffle broke out outside Badamwari between the two groups comprising of young boys, over a trivial issue.
 
The statement reads that at the begining two boys had a small quarrel with each other and lateron two groups took their sides. “The fight ended in stabbing of one boy resulting in serious injuries to him, while as other boy also sustained injuries in the incident. The injured were later operated upon at SMHS Karannagar and SKIMS Soura hospitals, respectively,” it reads. 
 
The injured, as per the statement, were identified as Tariq Ahmad Sheikh and Arshad Ahmad Sheikh.
 
It reads that in this context case under FIR No 19/2022 U/S 307, 325,147,148 IPC stands registered in Police Station Rainawari. 
 
“Many suspects were apprehended for questioning. During questioning, 6 persons were prima-facie found to be involved in the commission of crime and werr arrested today,” it reads. 
 
The arrested accused persons have been identified as Danish Ahmad Sheikh, Farhan Ahmad Mir, Shahzib Altaf Ahangar, Arbaz ahmad bhat, Tavqeer sidiq Gojree and Waseem Ahmad Dar.
 
“Other accused persons, who were part of either of the two groups are being identified and will be arrested in due course,” it reads. (KNS)
